Dr. Block conducts applied and basic research in the area of reproductive biology in cattle. His primary research goal is to improve the efficacy of in-vitro embryo technologies for use in cattle production systems.

Dr. Block conducts applied and basic research in the area of reproductive biology in cattle. His primary research goal is to improve the efficacy of in-vitro embryo technologies for use in cattle production systems. Dr. Block's research efforts have focused on understanding the genetic regulation of follicle development, identifying factors that regulate embryo survival and modifying embryo culture media to improve embryo cryotolerance.
