University of Florida

Graduate Admission Requirements

The University of Florida does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, national or ethnic origin, religious preference, disability or sex in any aspects of its operations.

There are no application deadlines. However, we do ask that prospective students apply 2-3 months before the term they are seeking admission. This is especially important for international students because visa arrangements are time-sensitive.

The Department of Animal Sciences requires that applicants score 1050 or better on the verbal and quantitative sections of the GRE. An average grade of "B" is required for all upper division undergraduate studies. International students must score 213 or better on the TOEFL (computer version), 550 on the paper and pencil version, or 80 or better on the internet version of the test.

Please note that if you appy on-line and have your letters of recommendation also on-line, you do not have to send anything to the Department.
