While you may have only spent several years in the UF/IFAS Department of Animal Sciences as a student, you are part of the family forever! Our alumni and friends are successful, diverse, and generous. We hope that even though Gainesville may no longer be home, you will remain active with the Department and our students.
Our alumni and friends of the Department provide educational resources through volunteer service and financial support. There are over 30 unique endowments that support student scholarships, facilities, judging teams, extension, research and youth programs.
Each year, over 50 alumni and friends volunteer with the Department. Whether it be speaking in a class, offering a tour or working with an extracurricular organization, our students value the time and effort that is spent on their success. Interested in volunteering? Click here!
Many of our students are required to complete a full-time internship prior to graduation. This real-world experience is critical to their success and is often a favorite part of their undergraduate education. Are you interested in hosting an intern?
