State 4-H/FFA Horse Judging School

The 2019/2020 State 4-H/FFA Horse Judging School will be on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the University of Florida Horse Teaching Unit in Gainesville. The primary objective of the school is to assist in the preparation of judging teams for the State Contests. Anyone interested in horse shows and horse judging should benefit from this opportunity and is encouraged to attend.

The school will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. and last until about 3:00 p.m. with an hour break for lunch (on your own). Registration/check-in will begin at 8:00 a.m. Participants may optionally stay after 3pm and give oral reasons for feedback. Please indicate at check-in if you plan to stay for reasons.

There is a $5.00 per person charge (youth and adults) to attend the horse judging school. You may preregister in one of two ways. To pay by credit card, go to Eventbrite and complete the form and payment (please note that eventbrite will add a $1.94 to each entrant). To pay by check (no added fees), complete the registration form and mail with your check made out to "Florida 4-H Foundation". Preregistration is not required, but is encouraged as it will expedite the check-in of your members that morning. If you are unable to have the form and payment in our office by December 2, hold both and sign up on site. Please plan to arrive early enough to get registered (allowing for long lines) and be seated by 9:00 a.m.

Depending on availability, a coaches guides will be available for purchase for $11.00, a member’s manual for $4.00, and additional printed materials will be available at no charge.
