    About the Extravaganza

Celebrating Great Horses and Bright Futures
Join us as we plan to celebrate 30 years.

You’re invited to the 3rd Annual Weanling Extravaganza, where the University of Florida Equine Science Program’s Weanling Behavior Modification class proudly showcases their hard work and horse training skills.

The Weanling Extravaganza is the signature capstone event of the University of Florida’s Weanling Behavior Modification course. Held each fall at the UF Horse Teaching Unit in Gainesville, this showcase celebrates the progress our students have made in starting and training the UF-bred weanling herd. Family, friends, and community members are invited to watch as students present their horses through a modified ranch trail pattern, highlighting the foundation of trust, communication, and problem-solving built over the semester. More than just a horse show, the Extravaganza connects education with entertainment—offering spectators an inside look at the teaching, training, and hands-on learning that define the UF Horse Program.
