Extension faculty have expertise in beef cattle management, health, genetics, nutrition, and reproduction.

    Florida Beef Cattle Short Course

    The Florida Beef Cattle Short Course addresses production management, profitability, and quality strategies of beef cattle.

    The Brahman Bull and Heifer Sale is conducted annually by the UF Animal Sciences Seedstock class and all proceeds support the Beef Teaching Unit and UF Brahman Project.

    LECALE

    The objective of the Livestock Education and Certification for Agriculture Law Enforcement (LECALE) program is to provide law enforcement and state attorney personnel rigorous and relevant training curriculum regarding generally accepted livestock production practices, skills to discern acceptable animal well-being, and ability to apply acquired knowledge and skills in the field and during litigation proceedings.
